Exploring Murren

Murren was built as a resort town around the late 1890s,   Road access, even today, is limited.  There are no cars in Murren.  Getting there is by way of Gondola from the end of the Lauterbrunnen Valley or the way we came which is via a Gondola from our hotel to the narrow gauge motor coaches which then took us along the cliffs to Murren.

There is not  much here, a gift shop or two near the rail station, a few hotels and a tiny village of a few dozen small homes.   Lucky for us the wildflowers were in bloom all along the paths and walkways.

Delightful fields of Wildflowers throughout Murren

We enjoyed wildflowers everywhere.  It was by pure luck that we were visiting when everything was in bloom.
